COVID-19 vs. "the flu":

(1) Much greater R0 - spread fast and far
(2) Higher CFR than the flu - 2-10 times higher
(3) Patient load exceeds hospital/ICU capacity - due mainly to severe infections in older people - causes healthcare collapse in places and causes all the downstream reactions - shutdowns, lock downs, etc.

Interesting Coincidences:

(1) Avg. GLP Joe saw wave coming two month before it hit the US and saw the prime driver of the problem - ICU's overwhelmed by severe old patients and deaths - why did no Western government see this and engage in proactive response - old people, stock up and prepare to Stay the Fuck Home for several months?
(2) Old people dying - removes huge financial burden on Western corporations and states
(3) Western leaders mostly still standing, even though highly interactive with other people - luck, excellent social distancing otherwise and washing of hands and . . ., or protected?
(4) Rand Paul - the only senator in the US who seems to pretty consistently side with the constitution and be free of strong influence gets it, but old farts like Schumer, Pelosi, McConnell, . . . still standing.

Odds - bad pandemic caused by escape from bio lab in China made worse by stupid, ignorant "leadership" in the West.

The flu happens every year all over the globe. No ones denying people are sick this year.
