For RBH - I'm still waiting....
From another thread, an unfinished "conversation" with RBH. I am patient, consider this a reminder, but I want to know YOUR thoughts, RBH.

********

Just what I needed today. To see a resurection of a thread that goes nowhere and proves nothing.

Why can't people realize that there truly ARE good people from all political persuasions, in this, OUR Country, who are desperately seeking the answer to why one man, one administration, can take a national surplus and turn it into the largest deficit in history, can turn our Country into the most loathed on earth, can try to justify an unjust war which has killed over 2000 of OUR troops, and countless innocents, who appointed his friends to top jobs and failed our Countrymen in the Gulf States when they were in the depths of agony over Katrina, who has instituted a deterioration of our civil rights, spys on Americans, and calls our Constitution a "goddamned piece of paper"??

EVERYONE should be outraged. Not just Democrats, not just Republicans, Libertarians, AMERICANS.

Fight me on a level playing field if you don't like what I post. Tell me why the above issues or any other don't matter to you. Use logic, use your best argument, define your stance.

Don't call me traitor.

I stand, in my own, very small way, with all those souls who tower over me because they had the courage of their convictions to do what was right for OUR Country.

Given our history, given what they fought for, given the great Country they lived and died for, how can anyone let alone me, not use them as a powerful image of freedom to emulate?

This is OUR Country, this is MY Country.

I won't ever stop working towards truth, justice, and peace in the USA and the world.

*********

RBH, you wrote:

Polly, do you really believe that ?

Unfortunately, I think you do and that makes me feel sad for you and others like you who suffer from P.E.S.T.

Oh well.

*********

Me:

RBH, yes. Shame on you for even thinking that question. That speaks volumes to me.

You can feel sorry, you can feel angry, you can feel whatever you want.

That is YOUR reaction, you own it.

I can't change that and wouldn't try.

Know that despite your position with regards to this administration that there are people who dare to continue the flow of truth, who are working towards a stabilization of our Country after this administration is gone, who are longing for normalcy and peace.

And, we work for you and your family, too.

********

You wrote:

Truth? You mean like Rather-gate fake memos kind of truth? Or maybe you mean the Ted Kennedy kind of swimming while drunk to the mainland while your pregnant mistress is drowned in the car you drove of a bridge kind of truth? You see where I am going with this?

********

Me:

RBH, yes, I see where you're headed with your response. Right straight onwards to a distraction technique.

I expect no less from you.

I cannot remember you ever taking a stand on anything. If you did, I missed it.

Tell me, tell GLP, what do you think about the points I mentioned or any I didn't cover with regards to controversial decisions by this administration.

Surely you can do better than bring up old, useless trash, when there is new, and current trash you can pick at.

Since I know what your leanings are, take the stand, tell me what you really think about this administration.

********

You wrote:

Awe yes, America, where you are free to believe what ever you want and pseudo-intellectuals hurl insults they wish were true.
It is so easy to know when I have hit close to the bone...

********

Me:

RBH, ever hear that old adage, if you don't stand for something you WON'T stand for anything?

No gumption.

No courage of conviction?

Back away from the taunts, and veiled or obvious insults and for once, tell me what you think.

I must say, however, that I doubt you will.

********

You wrote:

Polly, I have 18 minutes left today. I don't plan on telling you what I think as it would take a bit more time than that, but I will answer you. Does that make you fell better?

********

Me:

I'm patient, RBH.

********

Me: Well, it's Monday, and since you seem to visit GLP from work, I expect to hear from you today.

You need to learn the difference between

DEFICIT
and
DEBT

Apparently you're one of those people gullible enough to be fooled by the imaginary concept of a

BUDGET SURPLUS

You can NEVER have a SURPLUS when you are TRILLIONS of dollars in DEBT

And sorry to burst your bubble, but the current administration is NOT totally responsible for this DEBT

I'll tell you what upsets me. When people quote how many US military have been killed as if it is something important. They are war criminals. How about IGNORING them and quoting the numbers of innocent Iraqis murdered by them.

Agreed, Monty. Polly, why are you wasting and lending your energy to someone who will never agree? Don't cast pearls before swine, honeypie.

Hi, Divinity!

I know there is logic in what you're saying, but there are times when someone like RBH, who adds nothing substantial to a thread, who attacks without reason, and distracts only, NEEDS to be called on the carpet.

Regardless of her online persona, I tend to take a person at his/her word. She stated she would respond to my question, hence the reminder.

Thanks, and hugs

Monty, I understand what you're saying, and a part of me agrees with you.

However, I have to weigh my personal experience with some troops whom I know in the "real" world.

The men I know had one idea in mind when they joined the Guard. Extra income for their families. Pure and simple. Not one of them wanted to kill anyone, not one of them wanted to leave their families, their jobs, or the comforts of home. They wanted extra money to provide for their families, that's all. I've talked to them, and in addition to the reasoning above, they all regret, deeply, their decision.

The argument can be made that they knew what they were in for when they joined up. Valid. However, there was no whisper of a war, no indication whatsoever that we would be led into the quagmire we're in now. Hindsight is 20-20.

There are at least a half-dozen other guys and one woman who was considering taking advantage of the military offerings and after this bushchit broke out, there was a drastic reversal in their thinking. Not one went military.

Thank God.

But Polly they had free will, which is more than the average Iraqi. Not only that but soldiers believe the lies their leaders feed them. They're not paid to think.

It's not as if they're defending their country although they probably believe they are. That's sad, but what's sadder are the children, the thousands caught in the middle of the bombs, guns and other outrageous crimes.

You're right, two wrongs don't make a right and I have compassion for soldiers and families too, but they have a responsibility, as we all do. What needs to happen is a mass exodus from our armed forces, but that will never happen because they're brainwashed.

Meantime, let RBH think what she likes, your good name speaks for itself.

Re: For RBH - I'm still waiting....
Your initial post is more of the same old crap that you are defenetly hooked on.
>>>national surplus and turn it into the largest deficit in history,<<<

How many articles do you want to read about how fake Clintons fake surplus was. Just go look up Budget surplus and Social security and you'll learn something, there's too many to link. Does GW spend too much? They all do.

>>can turn our Country into the most loathed on earth<<<

Your opinion and since when have we ever been well liked? You're reading the polls with tainted vision and face the fact that the MSM is slanted way to the left and throws our president under a bus whenever they get the chance, don't believe everything you hear.

>>> justify an unjust war which has killed over 2000 of OUR troops, and countless innocents,<<<

Unjust in opinion as well. There are many Americans who believe that What is being done in the middle east is what needed to be done. The Liberal view of No war at any cost has cost us plenty over the years. How many more attacks by the Arabs would have been enough? How long a list of violations and general muderous behaivior by Saddam do you want to read? Anyone who believes that the Arabs would have stopped attacking us, or that it wouldn't have escalated, should do about ten minutes of research into Arab attacks on western intrerests. Saddam constantly shot at our planes patroling the no fly zone, funded suicide bombers, murdered and torchered countless souls and if you believe that the Iraq war is unjust then you must also believe that the world was better off with him ruling Iraq. As far as our soldiers being killed any death is tragic, however our loses in this military action are far far less than any other action near the same magnitude and the lefts constant ritual of using the deaths of American soldiers as a tool to further there own Socialist Anti-war agenda is deplorable at best. Using death and the horror of war is nothing new and has been a tool of your anti-American pals for a long time. It's an easy tool to employ since nobody wants the death and horror that is war. Go and look and see who is behind you're anti-war crowd and ask yourself what they want for our country, it won't be what you probably think. They truly are the Marxist-Socialists and do not want America to remain a capitalist and free country, it is all well documented.

>>>appointed his friends to top jobs and failed our Countrymen in the Gulf States when they were in the depths of agony over Katrina,<<<

You already know my opinion of PoNo. If GW would have acted under the insurection act and took over La, how loudly would have you been crying about that? It was a natural disaster that was amplified by a corrupt Democraticly controlled states lack of action to prevent further loss and to protect its people. Blanco, Nagin and all those who are pointing the finger of blame at the feds are doing nothing more than just that, finger pointing. They have a distinct advantage in that the MSM is on their side in their campaign to blame the Rep adimin. Miss took the brunt of katrina, Florida Got pounded, but they don't make the president look as bad so the MSM plays the tune and the Libs dance. NO has already gotten more fed money then they can line their pockets with and they're still crying.

>>>spys on Americans, and calls our Constitution a "goddamned piece of paper"??<<<

More Lib talking points and you forgot to quote the part when he said that he kills babies for breakfast and drinks their blood and electrocutes little old ladies for laughs. Spys on Americans that are communicating with known Arab terrorists, tell me why that's bad again. And the "If he did that, he'll spy on my grandma too" is a weak argument. The NSA doesn't give a crap about your cookie recipe unless it has RDX in it, they have plenty of real bad guys to spy on, and yes some of those bad guys are citizens. They want to kill people and they are out there in real life.

>>>I won't ever stop working towards truth, justice, and peace in the USA and the world.<<<

All your posts have little to do with the truth and what truth they do have is presented as always to show how much you dislike the president. You don't like him, fine. I will always support anybody's right to desent, weather I like it or not. But don't delude yourself that everything you C/P is some revelation of truth. It is baised, some is outright false like the Goddamned piece of paper bogus statement that never happened and at least is filtered through the Leftist MSM we hate republicans mind laundry. You stick up for yourself, which I give you credit for, but all your posts are way biased and you really should try and open both eyes for a change. Try and let a little voice tell you that the media is very politicaly driven and is rife with proven bias. You might find that things are not as bad as the MSM would like people to believe and you might be a happier person for it.

Sorry for the run-ons and the lack of paragraphs and piss poor spelling, but I'm very busy and gotta run.

You need more balance.
