Obama administration considering ways to overturn marijuana legalization in Washington and Colorado
Savage cites anonymous sources familiar with the discussions in DC, whom he says are considering plans for legal action against the states of Colorado and Washington. Meanwhile this week the Obama administration once again chimed in on the topic, but as with earlier abbreviated statements, the only words out of the nation’s capital forecast an ominous battle likely to brew for some time.

Why do you think that?

Washington and Colorado vote solid Democrat, year after year, states dragged along by the left wing voters in the metropolitan areas.

They have got their Red darling in the White House, why would they want to change? Over pot? I don't think so.

You have the wrong idea, these two states have little in common with Texas. They follow a Red star, not a Lone Star.

You should visit Southern Oregon, its very much like West Texas (I've lived in both). They follow the north star straight on till sunrise... Many folks did, indeed, not vote for Obama because of the heavy handed raids.

That will make a lot of drug dealers I know very happy if they do it. Raise the cost of weed so they can make bigger profits.

I think I can speak for the marijuana enthusiasts of Washington state when I say we are not going to back down on this. We, the People made it very clear with our votes - we do not agree with the Feds on marijuana.

Marijuana legality, coming to your state soon...

20 Colorado business organizations wrote a letter to US Attorney General Eric Holder last Friday urging him to enforce federal laws barring the sale and possession of marijuana. In doing so, the business groups are taking direct aim at the will of the voters, who passed Amendment 64 legalizing marijuana with 55% of the vote last month.
