I used to read a LOT of Stephen King (this was 20 some odd years ago). I started having night terrors about ghosts coming in my room and picking me up to carry me away. I felt myself being lifted, couldn't move, couldn't make a sound. Once I woke up and literally felt myself fall and hit the bed.

One night I got so scared and ANGRY I said, out loud "Leave me alone in the name of Jesus Christ!".

It never happened again.

I was a marginal believer at best in those days, but I'm a strong believer now.
