I am now posting using free wifi from one of Oati Kaitiaki's favourite haunts.
My uncles' and aunties' love affair with Tibetan Buddhism and Lamaism stemmed from the 1960s-1970s era. Then western media flooded the world with all the flowery and fanciful stuff about India, Tibet, Shangri-La, possibly diverting attention from the Vietnam War and the Cold War? Also the Hare Krishna stuff, Mahareshi Mahesh Yogi, TM , Lobsang Rampa stuff. Many Kiwis and Brits living here were totally caught up in those waves. Those stuff locked into their psyche. Other Maoris and other Pasifikas got caught up with other silly Christian and Catholic splinter cults. Later those transformed into the Destiny Church, Gloriavale, etc.
My relatives loved the Hollywood people expounding the Tibetan fairy tales, they idolise the publicly genial and affable Dalai Lama. What they saw on TV! It was only recently when the saw with their own eyes the parallels between the popes and the Dalai Lama during their public tours, and through archived film ( not TV ) images of the fuehrer, ayatollah Khomeini, Mao, Kim Il sung, that they realised something not quite right! Maybe some awakening energies touched them! They researched, agonised over all their past mindset held hostage, and finally freed themselves. Hey, they don't buy into all these organised religions anymore! Or the Hollywood and mainstream media fantasies.
I phoned my relatives and asked about all the great Tibetan sages' names you so flauntingly threw about. They laughed and wondered about Meliripa!!! They never, ever heard of him. What they thought was you were such a great, devoted and ardent student of Tibetan fairy tales that you even fraudulently fairy-taled Yogi Milarepa's name!!! Milarepa supposedly had some super magickal skills to beat a Bon cultist shaman on a race up Mount Kailash. But wait, wasn't it a taboo to ascend Mt. Kailash? A true student should never, ever get the great Yogi's name wrong! It's a given, it should just roll off your tongue, or spring effortlessly from your fingers onto the keyboard! I could sense my uncle shaking his head in wonderment. Look at the keyboard, impossible for a finger typo!!! And the audacity to call others fraudulent.
The thing is this: awakened people just share knowings and knowledge humbly without much ado. Without the endorsement of Papa Bush, kiddo Bush, mousy Mao or Lhamo Thondup. They don't go around showing off, making bellicose claims, riding on others' coat tails and putting down others. Like someone wrote before, it is really sad and a lost cause if one needs to put others down in order to feel good about oneself. I am not as diplomatic and naively kind as the others. So I say it here, it is utterly and hugely pathetic!
I think it is probably a waste of time explaining all these to some people who so deeply mind entrenched. I don't like to ape someone to say, go google this, go bling that or go yahoo! But do so. Go search for " the real truth about so and so ". There are avenues to research. No amount of explaining if they close the hearts and souls. Just too bad. I am not as patient as the others like Ngati and my cousin.

Do you know why Milirepa and Padmasambhava went on Kalish? They are sages and can do that without breaking any spiritual laws. What is the Chinese army going to do when the sacred mountain opens? When this occurs I suggest you stop posting. You canadian ac need to shut the fuck up. You are doing great harm to people supporting the Tibetan cause. Much as I detest the high handed chinese administration in Tibetan, the useless motherfuckers in the Dalai Lama's exile government are worse. They fight their red hat rivals and carried out secret assassinations that are all covered up by their ever beloved media. Psychic attacks are most common to try and finish off rivals. The ongoing electoral shenanigans with infighting between the exile government PM's people and rivals are most disappointing! Now we have self proclaimed students of Tibetan Buddhism who can't even get Milarepa's name ot Mount Kailash ' name right! Then wishy washy claim of Padmasambhava's being on the sacred mountain when there were no records of such. This is disgraceful! Western do gooders and Tibetan exiles having a good life should be more careful about not shaming the cause.  Posts like this makes me cringe! That is not a Canuck or Tibetan lama lover. That is the US Taoist wannabe who had been terrorizing this thread for the past 145 pages or so. He assumed many identities like this: in any case, thread's dead
