Re: The Real Mayan Calendar End Date (May 20th, 2016)
what i dont understand ,is why this thread has not been trolled at all ?? considering we are going to possibly witness the greatest event ever in just over 3 months time
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70940335

It is 100% fact the Mayan Calendar ends in about 3 months time right during the Grand Cross planetary alignment.

The question is, what the fuck is going to happen at this time? Nothing? Or something HUGE?

This further supports my theory that Dec. 21st, 2012 its actually June 2nd, 2016 if you take away leap years.

Good read, thanks OP.

I think it is well established that the legendary Mayan calendar reset is only moments away, however you have not disclosed your own impressions as to what will transpire at the close of the galactic day. Do you adhere to the Calleman theory of universal consciousness?...an excerpt

Offering a detailed answer to this question, Carl Calleman explores the quantum evolution of the human mind and its resonance with the global mind. He examines how our brains are not thinking machines but individual receivers of consciousness from the global mind, which creates holographic downloads to adjust human consciousness to new cosmological circumstances. Or do you see the return of Bolon Yokte in a religious light?

The authors of the Vedas were Aryans from another planet. They flew in Vamanas and the Mayan Calander was given to them as a subset of the great Indian Calander. The Mayan Calander starts at the time of Krishna's departure and also marks his return as the final avatara in this eon. This date marks the second advent of Krists return. Jesus was just one of numerous incarnations. Bolon Yokte is just the name given by the Mayan. It means white sinned god that comes from the sky.

Re: The Real Mayan Calendar End Date (May 20th, 2016)
Did you account for the "last year of confusion" in 46BCE? Because Ceasar added 80 days to the calendar year, 67 officially that year on top of the extra 13 from the year before = 80, & then he started the calendar at 365.25 days a year. it was 355 days prior to that. so I don't know if that effects you calculations, but I think it probably will.. I don't know if there were adjustments prior to that. The "last year of confusion" went for 445 days... isn't that insane??? Can you imagine? Makes you question what "time" really means. Also we get leap seconds sometimes.. u should look that up. adjustment for tectonic plate activity among other things..

"On Passover on Apr 23, 2016 the Full Moon Goes Under the Feet of Virgo, at 12:15 pm (close to midnight—the "Midnight Cry") (Israel Time).

At this time Moses and Elijah will appear in Jerusalem and trigger the start of a 45-day cry for all Wise Virgins to return to Mt Zion in order to flee to Petra for the coming 3.5 year Great Tribulation."

"THE third sign coming (video and article to come) is the Grand Cross Cardinal Alignment of Ezekiel's Wheel on Jun 6, 2016. This is when there is a very rare "Grand Cross" between four major planets in the star signs of the faces of Ezekiel's chariot (Ezekiel 1:15—21). The following alignments will occur:

Venus and the New Crescent Moon in the BULL
Jupiter and the North Node in the LION
Saturn in the EAGLE
Neptune in the MAN (or Messiah, the Water Bearer)"

Thanks.

Just like how that LA Times article says, if we take away leap years/days, what would the date be.

The Mayans didn't have leap years, so obviously it would make sense to take away leap years/days to find out the true end of the Mayan Long Count date.

Others have obviously seen this logic before too. I think there were threads posted in the past from other GLP members that said this.

The Dec. 21st, 2012 end date is the Gregorian end date. The Mayans didn't follow the Gregorian calendar obviously so why should we imply the Dec. 21st, 2012 was the correct end date. It wasn't.

Re: The Real Mayan Calendar End Date (May 20th, 2016)
""Whereas, our Gregorian calendar first implemented by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582 A.D. figures the solar year at 365.2425 days (a correction of the Julian calendar figure of 365.25 days), the ancient Maya had calculated their Haab calendar's solar year to be more accurate at 365.2422 days. The great irony here being, it was the combined powers of the Roman Catholic Church authority and the Spanish monarchy who had waged a war of cultural genocide against the natives of Mesoamerica for being the suspect of inferiority; when in fact, many of their mindsets and understandings were centuries ahead of the 16th Century Europeans. Likewise, while our modern world continues to use the calculations of Papal Rome, as of January 1, 2000, our best trained astronomers recently recorded the mean tropical year at 365.2421897 days, which has now put us on par with what the ancient Mayans had already known.

Like all solar calendars of every advanced civilization that has come to develop one, there are certain basic similarities; such as, a need to keep track of the seasons for agriculture, and one perplexing problem which has always existed through the ages. Because the actual length of time it takes for our Sun to re-appear in its exact same positions as seen from Earth is slightly longer than 365 days, periodic adjustments are needed to keep an accumulation of the yearly calendar counts in alignment with the Earth's true revolutions around the Sun. The ancient Mayans approached this problem differently than what we do today. Instead of adding a leap year every 4 years, they subtracted 13 days every 52 years. The Haab calendar has an error of only 1 day in 6729 years, while our modern calendar has an error of just 1 day in 3236 years."

[link to mayan-calendar.org]

The Mayan Solar New Year is 0 Pop. 0 Pop is April 1st, 2016 this year.

"In the latter case, the seating of Pop is day 5 of Wayeb'. For the majority, the first day of the year was 0 Pop (the seating of Pop)."

[link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)]

In 2012, it was April 2nd.

52 years ago or a Calendar Round cycle it feel on April 14th, 1964. 13 day difference from today's New Year Mayan date.

Instead of adding one day every 4 years (leap year), they subtracted 13 days every 52 years or 18980 day = 365 vague solar years x 260 Tzolkin days

6/1/2016 minus 18980 days

6/14/1964 minus 18980 days

6/27/1912 minus 18980 days

07/9/1860 minus 18980 days

and so on...

On June 1st, 2016 I noticed something very interesting with the Mayan calendar.

A calendar round cycle of 52 years comes to a completion when the Haab and Tzolkin sync.

The calendar round happens during the Sun Pleiades alignment.

May 19th-20th this year is when the Sun Pleiades alignment occurs.

I noticed something very interesting with June 1st, 2016. It is the Tzolkin and the Haab syncing up over 13 days! Never can this be done for any other years or any other combination of days of the Tzolkin with the Haab until 52 years later or before.

We can see above that the calendar round of 52 years occurs on June 1st, 2016. How crazy is that the the calendar round ending coincides with the Mayan 13 baktun ending at that same exact time!? And on top of that, it also coincides with the all important May 20th (Julian) date, which May 20th is very important to the Mayans.

The calendar round ending according to the Aztecs has to do with the potential end of the world.

"Among the Aztec, the end of a Calendar Round was a time of public panic as it was thought the world might be coming to an end. When the Pleaides crossed the horizon on 4 Ahau 8 Cumku, they knew the world had been granted another 52-year extension."
