Fuck off gortons fish sticks?????? Its gordons fish sticks. Wtf i am done with this now. Am i going crazy?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71867223

I thought it was gordons too.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69123733

I am going to the
the store for some peaches.

Our mind just fills in the information as we want to see it. People probably spelled gorton's 'gordons' when it was a new brand. Words change spelling changes anyway. Do we still speak ye olde english?

Word of mouth and now more so word of mind that alters what is actually the real thing. Maybe it shows how much people take in and interpret the world differently than others.

These types of videos make me want to lay off the green for a while.

Re: "Mandela Effect"
I've yet to see this one mentioned:

John Goodman, actor

I remember him dying of a heart attack back in the early 2000s.

He is still alive now.

I could be on my own on this one. But I did ask my husband and he said he remembered the same thing.

Just wanted to see if anyone else remembered this?

I have seen plenty of people reference Goodman as an example as well. I know he did have heart issues (due to drink and weight) but never heard of him dying.

I have a very vivid memory of watching the morning news and them doing a story about his death.

I am new to this Mandela Effect thing. I am blown away so far at the amount of changes/false memories/incorrect memories.

I don't know what to make of it all.

It can be outright overwhelming when initially stumbled across. You (generally speaking) have to learn how to weed out false memories from real changes though and eventually start to dig into the "why does it happen and what causes it" as other posters have mentioned. That is when it gets really strange.

His character Dan Connor died on Roseanne of a heart attack, perhaps you are getting it confused with that. The episode aired in the late 90s.

I never thought he died dude, just pointing out WHY others may have thought so. I know he has a history of alchoholism and obesity (coming in at almost 400 lbs at one point) and suffered ill effects due to those issues. The character dying on Roseanne is an even better example of why people think they heard of Goodman dying.

You see, that's where all this gets weird for me.

I remember them playing the clips from Rosanne on the news where his character died and talking about how strange and ironic it was that a few years later he did in fact die of a heart attack!

I was young back then, and my family and I watched Roseanne alot. I remember thinking to myself that it was creepy that Dan died in Roseanne, and then in real life the same way.

Re: "Mandela Effect"
You get used to the changes. You notice them, but then it's like eh.

Lou Feringo died about 1996 for me. I know the year because it was right before my wedding and my dad and I joked about the show, since I was a fan when I was a kid.

Reba McEntire never changed, but I remember New Kids on The Block Joey McIntyre making me note it was different.

Ford's changed slightly, not enough to be OMG, but the F has the extra curly bit in the middle.

I remember John Goodman dying, then he came back thin.

Barbara Eden, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Brigitte Bardot, Kathleen Turner, Alan Alda, Brian Dennehy...among others are alive, but I remember their deaths.

One thing that makes the ME hard is not everyone that remembers one thing remembers them all. For me it's Berenstein Bears, chartreuse was pink when I was a kid and Mandela died in the late 80s. But then there's things like the Lindenbergh baby being found that matches up to the timeline this is the correct version.

Reba? Did not believe she had the word 'tire'/or 'Entire' in her last name which would have associated her with "Reba Tire",especially for her being a "Country Singer / Actress" in the collective memory which she is not.

Re: "Mandela Effect"
Want to know what all of this is?
The so called "Mandela effect" examples are totally random, they just typically get our attention because they are related to marketing, advertising, brands, film/television, etc. There is a timeline and we each have personal memories we carry of what was the original version. The "effects" we DON'T see or have awareness of are vast. In the case of a people however, you would not have any awareness of a popular personality or family member who (as a result of the effect) didn't exist suddenly. You would not have any memory that you had an aunt/cousin because the entire history is altered.

Why does this happen? What creates these effects?
It is due to timeline travel incursions by the "system". When it is necessary to change something in the present involving an individual or a belief system or dynamic ...the system" has the technology to time-travel back in order to change something that will eliminate or alter the current situation.
Example: A popular musician is uncontrollable - a threat to the system because he/she is raising human consciousness. The controllers time travel back to the time when the individual was a few years old and the 'agent's' goal is to cause trauma to the family/musician and thus will make it easier for the system to control the person when they are older (ex. child abuse). There are countless other examples. The minor mandela effects are unintended, random results of what happens when there is any alteration of the past. The goal would be to avoid such alterations, naturally, however it is difficult to avoid such risks in the process of an incursion.

Been looking at this since Fiona Broome started her website.

Here's the ones that really get me:

- Berenstein - I really do remember the spelling very clearly
- Depends - c'mon!
- the VW and FORD logos...crazy - that curly-q F and the line in the VW? mind-blowing
- Dilemna - another very specific memory

C3P0 has a silver right leg in ALL THREE early Star Wars films - such a nutty idea to me I had to go and take screenshots:
