The ocean in Antarctica doesn't fall into space because of gravity? Outer Space is an almost perfect vacuum. Why doesn't space try to pull (fill) it's void with the earth's atmosphere and waters? "If I have a dual chamber down here on earth where one chamber is a vacuum and the other is filled with a gas, if I open a gateway between the two chambers the gas will very quickly move to fill the vacuum." Does gravity hold the atmosphere and water in place? Is it strong enough to overcome the vacuum of space yet it allows a butterfly to flutter about. I don't know the answer but just the word gravity drives me crazy. I just don't understand. Well, what holds the atmosphere is more of an static electrical effect than what is traditionally understood as gravity. So, the vacuum of space, the biggest low pressure (nearly 0) system, the earth is a quirk compared to just our galaxy, let alone our universe. What keeps our gases from trying to seek equilibrium, like scientific law dictates, into the hard vacuum of space? Gravity, can make an apple fall from a tree and at the same time, allow a tiny gas molecule to float to the very top of our atmosphere, and also keep it from doing what it naturally does, seek equilibrium. Sounds like something a dumb fuck would believe. Prove how Gravity is this selective You are the first person to address my core question. Gravity can not be selective. So does this mean that I don't have to research the static electrical effect? Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't mainstream science also suggest that the electromagnetic field of the earth has some impact here? |

Earth's gravity is attracting all molecules of earth's atmosphere toward the center of the earth resulting in atmospheric pressure (14.7 pounds of atmosphere per square inch of surface area). In "space" there is not the circumstances of significant gravity, allowing gaseous molecules to free-float without causing perceptible pressure. Vacuum is not itself a force but a word created to indicate degrees of lack of pressure. Last Edited by CK722 on 05/09/2016 08:42 PM |

He/she is simulatneously trolling YouTube, and other conspiracy sites with canned answers, long quoting, ad hom and straw man fallacy. It's nothing but confusion aimed towards the casual reader. Of course "Hydra" took pictures of the Mercury transit today. Lmao, and posts on a conspiracy site trolling flat earth threads. Give me a break. Posters like this should be the ones banned. So obvious a troll |
