Why can't I prove the earth is round?

We are always throwing away those things we have been taught that are no longer useful and replacing them with ideas from our present perspective.

Would it not be foolish to go into space where there is only one chance to get it right, without first practicing on earth where a mistake is not lethal? Mock-ups are constructed for practice. A picture or a story of a mock-up is easily used by someone who gets excitement from deceiving others. Educate yourself with an open but critical mind and you will not be so easily deceived.

that boat at the time you mention proves the curvature of the earth. watch how the "mirage" moves up the boat as it move farther away, i.e. its going over the curve.

It should say "a phenomenon that celestial geometry says cannot happen, if you ignore atmospheric refraction.

For this video to have validity it needs to be shot from a height significantly greater than the swells between the boat and the observer. Nothing important about the curvature of the earth can be proven with this video.

Take a flashlight and shine it on the wall. What shape is it in ( a circle). Light travels out equally in all directions that is why there is a circle of light on the wall and not a square or rectangle.

Now the sun must shine it's light on the earth in that same circle pattern as the flashlight shinning on the wall.

Now the distance from New York to Buenos Aries is 5,277 miles

Now the distance from New York to Moscow is 4680 mile

When It is day time in New York it is day time in Buenos Aries.

Right now in Moscow it's a quarter past 5 in the morning.
In New York it is a little after 10 pm.

If the sunlight can travel 5,277 miles at once shinning it's light on New York and Buenos Aries at the same time going north to south. Why can't it shine it's light on Moscow and New York at the same time( if the world was flat)going east to west , it is a shorter distance.

A rotating sphere explains why this can be possible. On a flat earth this would be impossible to take place.

all globetards have to do to prove the earth is a sphere is to circumnavigate it NORTH TO SOUTH. should be simple, yet it has NEVER been done.

Light travels at 186,000 miles per second. Speed is not the issue. Angle of incidence and horizon of the earth sphere can be used to make a valid point.

I guess those freighters bringing goods to port never travel north to south.

Take your flat earth map and find two cities in the same time zone north and south as far apart as possible somewhere in Canada and way down in Argentina. Set your compass in the middle of those two points and draw a circle connecting the two points. That circle is where the sun MUST shine it's light at the exact same time.
When you do that with your flat earth map you will see that it doesn't stand up to reality.

Go camp out on the live feed of the International Space Station.

Go watch for 24 hours.

As the ISS circles the Earth you should see the Earth displayed as a thin line every 12 hours;

if it were flat.

This does not happen and thus the Earth is a globe.

Not sure what your point is. Boats have always traveled north/south from New York to South Africa and other N/S routes.
