Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76320280 So many items which we tried to purchase were unavailable that we had to cancel the orders, except for Aldis. At Heinens we ordered 15 items and the only thing in stock was a package of Thomas' English Muffins. Everything else was sold out. The shopper said the store was practically bare. Milk and eggs are consistently sold out everywhere. I don't think it's because of the holiday. Milk and eggs are not party food and many people are still quarantining. There just seems to be a shortage of food here. Is anyone else experiencing this? wife has mentioned it. it’s hit or miss on a lot of the staples, some days we just don’t get milk unless she hunts it down at 5 different stores. . we’re in texas. |

We've not had empty stores. WE could always get food, but you might have to go to 2-3 grocery stores to get everything on your list. One store might be short on dairy, another on meat, and a 3rd on toilet paper and paper towels. |

I'm in SoCal and in the last 3 weeks we have plenty of everything. Even TPs and paper products are back on the shelves. You might have to go out on your own to get your supplies. Stores seemingly can't fulfill the online orders but if you step in the store they have most. :) |

There is no difference between me shopping and a shopper for Instacart shopping. It isn't really an "online order".... |

Well, there are those who are posting that Meijer's has food. That store is located in Mentor, in Lake County, which is mostly white. The stores I'm shopping from are on the near East Side and heavily black. However, Heinens is more upscale and expensive and doesn't attract a large black clientele. And Heinens is the one that the shopper said is almost bare. Here's the thing, Heinens in my closeby area does attract a large "small hat" group. Once again, maybe they know something. . |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 78945990 United States 05/23/2020 12:53 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | that's what happens when you give everyone who isn't working MORE money than they were making when they were working. no one works, products don't get made, you get free money, yet have nothing to spend it on. it's not rocket science. many warned of this but some are too fucking busy telling everyone to stay home in fear of the "invisible enemy", just thinking somehow the stores get magically stocked by the welfare fairy. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78916512 United States 05/23/2020 12:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | We have been using the online Walmart pickup works pretty good. Thing is we order 2 of everything we want and then double order so that when they are out you still get stuff. Sometimes that does not work out great in that you get say 10 different kinds of butter for instance...throw it in the freezer and don't worry about it. Seems pretty good so far been able to avoid going inside stores. |

Oddly, fresh fish is not as plentiful as is used to be. Frozen meals (especially the $1 range ones) are totally out of stock everywhere all the time. Haven't seen any in weeks.
