As I've said before, the reason why most of the palestinian civilians that are killed is the simple fact that they're used as human shields by the palestinian terrorists.
But I've never said that the israeli government is completely innocent of those deaths.
They must try to do their best in order to avoid the death of innocent civilians, especially the children, and I think that in a few times they've failed on that.
But to put on the same level the behaviour of the IDF and the behaviour of the palestinian terrorists (or even trying to say that IDF is worse than the palestinian terrorists) is completely preposterous, and reveals a blatant intelectual dishonesty.

However, it is rather astonishing to find out how short the Israeli collective memory is. The failed IDF rescue of Regev and Goldwasser, following Hezbollah’s successful ambush evolved into Israel launching the Second Lebanon War. In an act of retaliation, retribution and vengeance Israel demolished Lebanon’s infrastructure, it flattened southern Lebanon towns and villages as well as some neighbourhoods in Beirut. It killed thousand of Lebanese civilians. Somehow the Israelis managed to forget all of this. The only thing the Israelis see is two black coffins. They even managed to neglect the fact that in return they themselves traded 190 plain coffins containing the bodies of Hezbollah militants.
The Israelis are pretty gifted in seeing themselves only. In their eyes, their pain is somehow superior to the pain others feel. Yet something puzzles me. In the light of the Israeli collective necrophilic weeping event I find myself rather confused. If Israel and the Israelis can hardly get over two tragic Israeli military casualties, how will they be able to cope with the global war they insist upon launching against Iran. If the Israelis cannot cope with two coffins, how will they ever be able to cope with Tel Aviv turning into the site of a mass grave? Their war cries suggest that this is something they seem to insist upon involving themselves in.

Have you seen the celebration made by Hezbolah in Lebanon over the release of Kuntar and co? A poster over the stage said: "Joy in Lebanon, Pain in Israel".
This is completely agains the ethics of a warrior! You can celebrate your victories but you should never celebrate your enemy's pain and grief! Otherwise, you are not a Man, you are a beast!
History is full of examples of this Ethics of the Warrior. Sometimes winers have gone to such extremes as to forbid the celebrations of victory because the losses of the enemies had been too heavy! This happened in Greece, this happened with the English king Henry V, who got to the extreme of annoucing the death penalty for anyone in the army who bragged about the crushing victory they just had over a much larger French army! The same happened in the Isreli army in 1967 and 1973. Soldiers were told to moderate the celebrations because too many ennemies had died, there had been too much suffering.
This is the difference in values we are confronted with! |

You cannot forcibly displace them
You cannot destroy civilian infrastructure
You cannot stop them getting medical assistance and other basic necessities

If there ever was an Independent Tribunal many would bet their last buck that Israel wouldnt stand a chance in hell when faced with accusations of not abiding by the International Rule of Law as specified in the aformentioned Geneva Convention.

Contrary to popular belief, the destruction in Beiruth was very localized. I live in Portugal and I heard Portuguese firemen who were to help. They said that the destruction was much less than what they expected by what they had seen on TV. Just because the images fill the whole of your TV screen, it doesn't mean that they are the whole of reality.
At the same time the Shiite zones were being bombarded, others parts of Beiruth were leading a normal life.

Israel could not hope for a better solution to the conflict with Palestine than the Hamas takeover of Gaza. The disengagement from Gaza and the destruction of the Gush Katif Jewish settlements has created a pure terrorist state at Israel’s border. Hamas’ takeover of Gaza fulfills Israel’s wildest dreams. The Hamas elected government brands the Palestinians as terrorists, shows them incapable of statehood and hostile to Israel, and removes the peace process from the agenda. It is time the Israeli government stop supplying their sworn enemies with water, electricity and food. Let their patron state Iran build for them power plants and water desalination plants, instead of giving them weapons. Now is the time to seal the Palestinian entity off and deal with it as with a enemy state: ban Palestinian migrant workers, stop issuing any visas to Palestinians, block all shipments, and wage total war when attacked. Retaliate with full force upon any infringement of Israeli security Gaza in the near future will become a international terrorist base and a zoo for the world media. At some future time, Israel will be forced to cleanse Gaza of Hamas as she has regularly cleansed the West Bank of the PLO before. Lets not wait till it gets any more difficult. Its time to cut up the 2 headed snake in Azza, Yuhuda and Shamron. Israel treats Palestine as rioting colony, not as an enemy at war. Colonies do get money even when misbehaving, enemies - never. Colonies, however, don’t shell their master states and don’t send suicide bombers into their capitol. Authentic Jewish leadership can save Israel. However, it is rather astonishing to find out how short the Israeli collective memory is. The failed IDF rescue of Regev and Goldwasser, following Hezbollah’s successful ambush evolved into Israel launching the Second Lebanon War. In an act of retaliation, retribution and vengeance Israel demolished Lebanon’s infrastructure, it flattened southern Lebanon towns and villages as well as some neighbourhoods in Beirut. It killed thousand of Lebanese civilians. Somehow the Israelis managed to forget all of this. The only thing the Israelis see is two black coffins. They even managed to neglect the fact that in return they themselves traded 190 plain coffins containing the bodies of Hezbollah militants.
The Israelis are pretty gifted in seeing themselves only. In their eyes, their pain is somehow superior to the pain others feel. Yet something puzzles me. In the light of the Israeli collective necrophilic weeping event I find myself rather confused. If Israel and the Israelis can hardly get over two tragic Israeli military casualties, how will they be able to cope with the global war they insist upon launching against Iran. If the Israelis cannot cope with two coffins, how will they ever be able to cope with Tel Aviv turning into the site of a mass grave? Their war cries suggest that this is something they seem to insist upon involving themselves in.
