Troubled Bank List as of 3/31/08

And Indy Mac wasn't on that list?

Oh Really?!?
Few will listen,
Of the few who listen, fewer still will understand,
Understanding does not mean believe,
Of the handful who believe, most may not know what to do,
Those who even know, how many will actually do ?
And the rare ones who have done it.......
Need not listen to you anymore.

Actually, IndyMac wasn't on the OTS watch list !

But, it begs the question - Don't these agencies talk to each other ?

Re: FDIC Troubled Bank List as of 3/31/08Quote

The other day, I posted a list of the top 25 banks in trouble with derivatives. Too bad I didn't copy and paste it then, because I don't want to have to recreate it, but here's the top 5 that are in the deepest doo-doo...not that the rest aren't!

In billions:

JPMorgan Chase $70,817.3
Citibank $30,070.0
Bank of America $28,535.9
HSBC Bank $5,649.2
Wachovia Bank $5,454.2

These figures are from March 31, 2007. By now, Bank of America should be in deeper doo-doo because of Bear Stearns. According to the Sovereign Society, JPMorgan was bought by Chase Manhatten in 2000 and has been on a downward spiral ever since. Chase lost billions in bad loans in high-profile corporate loans to Enron, K-Mart, Global Crossing, Tyco, and Argentina, which made it to swim in a sea of red ink.

In 2004, Morgan Chase bought Bank One and hired its CEO to straighten out the mess it was now in, but he couldn't tame Chase's derivatives portfolio. Their $70.8 trillion in derivatives is greater than the size of the entire world economy. If any of the big banks fall, they will take the rest of the world with them in a domino effect. We ain't seen poor yet!

Can't read that Bose printed pages. I see my bank on there. Any 'general info on what being on that list means?

The numbers at the top of the list are probably the key
but, as I can't read the print, I'm screwed. My bank is Peoples on page 4.

Thanks in advance for any help.

A small list but mines on it. Has a 2 star rating. Transferred to a credit union yesterday.

They're a small town bank trying to play with the big guys.
