Why can't you see that first and foremost we are all HUMAN? Your statements are so hate-filled. There are good and bad people of EVERY race and religion! I am a white woman, an INDIVIDUAL...just like you AND every other person on this planet... *sigh* -- this topic is really making me sad...
Don't let it get you down. Half the dumbasses here talking about black people wouldn't last two minutes in any ethnically different neighborhood than their own. I had friends white and black who could step into most communities (be they inner city or upscale) and nobody would give them trouble but do you know why? You are right. And I've had my share of bad experiences with blacks. Starting with working with them while in college... what a freaking nightmare. I still shudder when I think of the cafeteria tables with grease smeared all over them, and bare chicken bones laying on top just like that, when there were trash cans all over the place! All it took was a few steps! The women's bathrooms were disgusting, with TP rolls on the floor, and menstrual discharge that wasn't flushed away all over the toilet bowl and dripping from it ( I WISH I was kidding abt this) and fecal mattered smeared on the wall. Then I've had no less than 5 friends and family affected by crime commited by black people, from break ins, insurance fraud, to a close female friend of mine who was abducted, raped then shot in the head and her body left to bloat in the summer heat(google Maria Aparece) by these animals. Now they're all over my neighborhood, spreading like roaches, bringing our home prices down and people moving out again trying to get away from them. Yeah I'd say I've had bad experiences with this one race that I haven't had with any other one, and Houston is a huge melting pot, or at least used to be pre-Katrina. |

I know what you mean. I had blacks move in to my neighborhood. The guy gets up up and goes to work in the morning......god how terrible. I had the same with asians,i went to live in a asian area to go to college , when i left that area my view of them was changed due to the number of times i was verbally and phisically attacked. |

I don't know how the cocaine thing fits into the Katrina refugee influx and the rise of Houston crime but ok! I never said we had no crime, I said it rose with the arrival of these people but go ahead, change the subject. I speak the truth, and it isn't always pretty, whether some of you like it or not.

Problem is that you see the world through black and white glasses.
There are more factors in life besides race. The Katrina refugees were more than just black. The reason why they were refugees was because of where they ranked in terms of the socioeconomic ladder. The less affluent people were more than likely to stay behind.
Unsurprisingly the less affluent people are the more there is correlation with levels of education and crime. Obviously the people who are more broke feel they have less to lose by criminal actions and furthermore put less thought into it. Also less likely to have guidance that would prevent them from doing so.
But the problem when you see life in terms of black and white, all you see is black people committing crime. You use that as confirmation bias that you already have that blacks are criminals.
The thought that class plays by far a major factor in crime than race is something you never even considered. |
