SHE FIRED A GUY WHO WOULDNT FIRE A TROOPER WHO TASERED A 10 YEAR OLD BOY AND ISSUED DEATH THREATS AGAINST SARAH AND HER FAMILY.
THIS IS A POLITICAL WITCH HUNT ONLY TO HURT PALIN.
ID FIRE THE FUCKER TOO AND SO WOULD YOU.
GROW UP POLLY.
I don't believe that's the complete truth. I read the boy asked his father to tazer him to see what it felt like and the voltage wasn't that high. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 479477

That's it. That's all you got people. She broke no law.

the abuse charge was only because she didnt stop Todd. That is all they charged her with. Nothing else. Read it morons.
Get it right and stop spreading lies.
Idiots
She didn't stop Todd or aides, and issued pressure herself. Face it, Pacy. She abused her position of power. It was her legal responsibility to make sure things like this (breaking laws) was not to occur. Something about "knowfully" and "willfully" permitted. Your glitter girl is up to her ears in it.
PAC's in total denial since their beauty queen now has shit all over her tiarra!

Maybe the trooper was nasty by nature, but Super Sarah can't be trusted with what she says. It's clear she was obsessed with firing him, and I agree that a busy politician wouldn't/shouldn't have the time, and would be responsible enough not to use government resources to pursue the matter. To my knowledge, all of these nasty allegations (taser, etc...) against Wooten happened before Palin was governor. As far as her family being threatened, unless there were witnesses who saw the threats being made, how can we know if it happened as she said. Or perhaps the guy had been harassed for so long by them (Sarah & Todd, tag team partners) that he lost it for a minute and told them to get off of his back and leave him alone. He was involved in a tension filled divorce with Palin's sister, so he probably wouldn't have been invited to Thanksgiving dinner.
If Sarah could sustain such intense anger and a long-standing grudge against Wooten until she saw him fired, what would happen if she'd get mad at Iran and want to get even with them?

Doubt it, as an appointee you are "at will" unlike Wooten, who was union. At best, he will be vindicated. Reputation is something worth fighting for.
I was recently terminated from a civil service/union position and am preparing to file an Article 78 for arbitrary termination. At first, I was going to let it go and go back to my old job. But tonight's nightmare (dream type) changed that.
Fire me for speaking up that my supervisor committed a felony? For responding to a biased document, which was well within my rights? Not letting that one go. It has "bad faith" written all over it.
Most people here think that a government job is like the rest. It isn't, and there are rules that one must play by. Hence Monegan standing up for his men and women - he followed the rules. Sarah Palin did not. Let her deal with the consequences. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 523248 10/11/2008 7:05 AM | | Re: Palin Troopergate investigation - HERE IS THE BRANCHFLOWER REPORT!! PALIN GUILTY OF ABUSE OF POWER!! | Quote | There are several issues at play here, though they are clearer if you live in Alaska instead of having to hear the spin from the media. (The Anchorage Daily News is also in the tank for Obama with the rest of them.)
1. Wooten is a disgrace and a danger as a state trooper. We do not need troopers who drink in their squad cars; have major anger issues and think that tasering a 10 year old boy is an OK thing to do.
Wooten's major problem was that he chose to exhibit this seriously sick behavior (The man carries a gun. He's a trooper) and make death threats this time against the wrong people.
Whether you agree or disagree with her on the issues, one thing about Sarah Palin is crystal clear -- she blows the whistle on corruption. She goes after people who abuse their power. She has done this against her own party.
The union protected Wooten from being fired. He should have been fired when these events occurred but wasn't.
Any other person in the private sector who committed the acts that Wooten did would have been sacked. Wooten is a liability because he is a walking lawsuit. He's unable to control himself and he's a state trooper.
2. The democrat who heads this "investigation" Duane French, wants an appointment in an Obama administration. He hired Steven Branchflower who is a personal friend of the commisioner that Palin fired. The other democrat involved in this has given $2000 to Obama and sings political love songs to him in his spare time.
If Wooten was a trooper in any other state and not related to Palin in any way, any decent person would want his butt out of law enforcement. |

First of all, I'm sorry that you were terminated.
A similar thing happened to me when I blew the whistle because my commissioner was involved in a fruadulent program for which he was receiving kickbacks.
You right. A government job is not like the rest. And public service really means something much deeper to many of us who do/did this work.
I was not going to pursue what happened to me legally until I was encouraged by trusted people to do so.
I did. There was a settlement and it wrecked my career in public service.
Yes, I won. But the cost to me personally was far greater than being "in the right."
Please carefully consider pursuing this legally.
I know about the Monegan issue. The one that they're not fully reporting on. He was a good police chief in Anchorage. But he went behind the governor's back to get funding and was inappropritately lobbying for his department.
He was acting like a police chief. Not a commissioner. |

I think it was around the end of July and it was partisan from the start. Just after they voted to let the democrat Hollis French investigate, he hired a personal friend of Monegan's, Branchflower; and the dem's made public statements to the press that trashed Palin as soon as their investigation began.
This was just typical Alaskan politics until Palin was picked for the VP slot.
That's when it got really ugly and the dem's involved had visions of sugar plum Obama appointments in their brains.
It escalated when Obama sent 30 operatives to Alaska.
It's been ugly and partisan ever since. |
