He was attempting to create a straw man argument by associating date-setters with the premillinneal Pre-Tribulation rapture theory, and then attempting to discredit the Pre-Trib position by referencing all the date-setters' failed dates. But what he failed to mention is that date-setting for a Pre-Trib rapture is not biblical. The bible says clearly that we will not know the day or the hour of our Lord's return. So date-setters disqualify themselves as being biblical Pre-Trib proponents. But perhaps since he doesn't see the biblical basis for the Pre-Trib position, why would he bother to distinguish the erroneous date-setters from the biblical Pre-Tribbers? Instead, he just lumps them all in together, thus creating more error for himself. |
